Leading Egyptian mixed-use real estate developer MARAKEZ announces its partnership with the Egyptian Food Bank (EFB) in El Salam to sponsor an iftar maeda this year for the whole month of Ramadan.
The Egyptian Food Bank organizes over a 100 maeda across Egypt, offering healthy meals including pasta or rice, meat, and vegetables.
The initiative aims to support MARAKEZ’s mission in bringing people together; it also gives an opportunity for underprivileged people to break their fast with a fresh meal. Marakez invites other property developers to carry out the good deeds.
Maintaining the importance of corporate responsibility, MARAKEZ has gone above and beyond for the well-being of disadvantaged communities in Egypt. Spreading the message of kindness and compassion to the wider community, MARAKEZ has shown itself to be dedicated and caring to the community it operates in.
Chief Executive Officer of MARAKEZ Basil Ramzy said, “We are pleased to extend our impact beyond our developments and make a positive contribution to the different communities we serve through our partnership with the Egyptian Food Bank, an experienced NGO whose work has been respected and appreciated throughout the years, we carry our mission of bringing people together in various ways.”
Having served more than 12 million beneficiaries in Egypt, CEO of the Egyptian Food Bank, Mohsen Sarhan noted: “By forming partnerships with MARAKEZ, I’m delighted to say that we have expanded our scope of work in fighting one of the ongoing crises in the Middle East and the world, malnourishment.” He further added that he hopes the maeda charity sponsorship will bring some relief and respite to those in need.
MARAKEZ has also voluntarily organized the distribution of supplemental food boxes to the under-deserved families in areas where its projects are located, October, Tanta, and El Salam.
Since its initial founding eight years ago, MARAKEZ has been actively engaged in fostering strong synergy among the local residents through a variety of social projects that have made sure to recognize advancing the community’s growth alongside that of the company.
