As part of the Bank’s strategy to foster financial inclusion and boost financial literacy amongst unbanked segments, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait-Egypt (ABK-Egypt) participated in the “International Youth Day” under the auspices of Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) that took place from August 1st to August 15th, 2023.
Stemming from the Bank’s belief in the importance of raising awareness on the importance of financial literacy among youth, the Bank organized a series of financial and digital literacy awareness campaigns for students in El Sewedy Technical Academy, and a financial literacy seminar for undergraduate students who joined the Bank’s 2023 summer internship program, targeting raising awareness on financial literacy, the importance of saving, as well as basic awareness on digital banking products.
Additionally, the Bank organized awareness sessions in “Damanhur Club” in Al-Beheira Governorate with the objective of promoting financial inclusion for a better future featuring the benefits of various banking products and services offered by the Bank.
These activities during the initiative period came in line with ABK-Egypt’s financial inclusion strategy objectives to extend digital financial services that focuses on reaching and engaging unbanked segments and empowering them with equal opportunities. Financial inclusion is a cornerstone of Egypt’s Vision 2030 and is a catalyst for achieving national sustainable development goals related to creating a competitive and diversified economy.
ABK-Egypt is keen to provide a wide range of financial services and innovative products with exclusive benefits during the period of the initiative. These offers include free of charge account opening, free Debit Card issuance, free Mobile Wallet registration and free accidental insurance policy.
