Narrative PR Summit, Egypt’s first international public relations forum, has revealed the participation of Tarek Tawfik, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt and Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, in this year’s edition, “Narrative PR Summit 2023.” With the captivating theme “Egypt Forever Forward,” the summit is scheduled to take place on October 9th, 2023, at the breathtaking Somabay in the Red Sea. The event is proudly held under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Egyptian Tourism Authority.
Furthermore, the summit has announced the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt as one of the esteemed partners of Narrative PR Summit 2023. This groundbreaking event will bring together distinguished thought leaders, investors, businessmen, tourism experts, and prominent government officials from both local and international arenas. Their collective aim is to exchange their inspiring stories and insights, with a particular focus on bolstering Egypt’s global reputation and fostering a national identity that harmoniously blends the country’s rich heritage with its contemporary image. Together, they will delve into strategies intended to propel Egypt’s investment sector forward by cultivating collaborations among diverse stakeholders, both within and outside the country.
Tarek Tawfik, the President of AmCham Egypt and Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, has expressed his admiration for the ongoing efforts of the Narrative PR Summit in supporting the national economy and attracting foreign investments. He further elaborated, “This initiative perfectly aligns with the state’s comprehensive plans for economic development, which have been expedited to overcome recent challenges. The General Authority for Investments has implemented a series of decisions aimed at enacting specific administrative and legislative reforms. These reforms have paved the way for reducing the state’s involvement in the economy and have created a favorable environment for a significant increase in foreign direct investment in the near future. I firmly believe that Egypt is on the right path to rebuilding investor confidence and reclaiming its leading position as a developing nation capable of attracting substantial foreign direct investment.”
Lamia Kamel, Founder of the Narrative PR Summit, and the former Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Promotion, commented, “We are honored to extend a warm welcome to Eng. Tarek Tawfik as he joins Narrative PR Summit 2023. In addition, I would like to express our deepest gratitude for the valuable collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce for this forthcoming conference. Since its inception in 2016, the summit has consistently emphasized the significance of strengthening connections between Egypt and the international community. We have diligently pursued these alliances with all relevant stakeholders, recognizing their massive potential to bring about positive outcomes for the Egyptian economy and attract increased investment inflows to the country.”
Kamel added, “With Egypt’s promising investment opportunities, the present time presents an opportune moment to forge alliances and establish strategic partnerships that will attract more investments. This objective takes center stage in this year’s edition of the summit, which places great importance on investment, tourism, and sustainable development. Given the current global economic crises, ranging from the impact of the coronavirus pandemic to the escalating conflict between Russia and Ukraine, this focus becomes even more critical.”
Narrative PR Summit has unveiled an impressive roster of notable speakers, including Sir Ben Elliott, a renowned international businessman, expert in tourism and investment, and the Founder of Quintessentially. Additionally, the summit features Steven Shepperson-Smith, the President-Elect of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and Senior Manager Corporate Communications – Africa at Vodafone UK. Joining them are Mohamed Mansour, a prominent businessman and former Minister of Transport, and Dr. Khaled El Enany, the former Minister of Tourism and Antiquities and a candidate for the position of Director General at UNESCO, among other distinguished individuals.
