Emirates NBD Egypt receives bt100 Award for The Leading Bank in Corporate Social Responsibility
Emirates NBD Egypt was awarded “The Leading Bank in Corporate Social Responsibility” during the bt100 award show. The award, received by Head of Products & Marketing, Retail Banking, Ms. Nelly Allam, highlights the bank’s outstanding efforts and contributions towards developing societies.
The year 2021 has witnessed Emirates NBD Egypt’s sincere commitment towards the community. Emirates NBD Egypt collaborated with Sona3 El Khair Foundation, an Egyptian charity organization for realizing development, to renovate a model center at Gesr Al-Suez, exclusively dedicated to guide and care for the visually and mobility impaired, together with the mentally disabled. Later, in December 2021, beneficiaries hailed donated supplies that significantly facilitated their daily chores, aided them in receiving proper education and consequently qualified them to take part in the labor market.
Emirates NBD Egypt also collaborated with Educate Me, the non-profit foundation that aspires to redefine education in Egypt, investing in the proficiency of public schools’ teachers, promoting for blended learning while integrating technology in the educational process. Partnering with ButtonUp supporting the economic empowerment of youth and women in Egypt’s most impoverished areas, the bank trained 100 female heads of households on sewing skills and business management, providing them with decent professions and steady income.
From availing job opportunities for 30 fishermen, to subsidizing female debtors along with their underprivileged families in Dakahlia governorate, the bank has never ceased to extend a helping hand to those in need.
