flynas, the leading low-cost carrier in the Middle East and a globally recognized airline, has announced the launch of three weekly direct flights connecting Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah with Sphinx International Airport in Cairo. This move aligns with flynas’ growth and expansion strategy in its fourth operations hub in Madinah and supports Saudi Arabia’s national aviation goals.
Flights to Begin on December 11, 2024
Starting December 11, the flights will operate on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, further strengthening the airline’s network from its Madinah hub. This initiative is part of flynas’ growth strategy, “Connecting the World to the Kingdom,” which aligns with Saudi Arabia’s objectives to connect the Kingdom to 250 international destinations, accommodate 330 million travelers annually, and host 150 million tourists by 2030, as outlined in Vision 2030 and the Guests of God Program to facilitate access to the Two Holy Mosques.
Strengthening Connectivity Between Egypt and Saudi Arabia
flynas operates more than 120 weekly direct flights between Saudi Arabia and Egypt, linking five Saudi cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Madinah, and AlUla, with five Egyptian destinations: Cairo, Sohag, Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, and Alamein. This includes direct flights to Cairo International Airport and Sphinx International Airport, which now receives direct flights from Riyadh and Jeddah, with Madinah flights starting soon.
Sustained Growth in Line with Vision 2030
flynas connects over 70 domestic and international destinations through more than 1,500 weekly flights and has transported over 80 million passengers since its inception in 2007. The airline aims to expand to 165 destinations as part of its growth plan, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030.
With this announcement, flynas continues to expand its network, offering travelers diverse options between Egypt and Saudi Arabia and solidifying its role as a strategic enabler in the Kingdom’s aviation sector.
