«The Egyptian-Swiss Group» participates for the second year in the «Saudi Food 2024» exhibition

The Egyptian-Swiss Group is participating for the second consecutive year in the Saudi Food Exhibition 2024.

Eng. Ahmed El Sabai, the General Manager of the Egyptian-Swiss Group for milling, pasta, and flour concentrates, emphasized Saudi Arabia’s position as one of the largest promising markets for Egyptian food exports.

He highlighted the group’s commitment to increasing its exports to Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region as part of its strategy to expand its export share and enter larger markets in the future.

El Sabai pointed out the importance of the Saudi Food Exhibition as the largest exhibition for the food and beverage sector in Saudi Arabia, attracting over 1,000 exhibitors from 97 countries and about 100,000 brands, providing a good opportunity for bilateral meetings with major buyers in the region.

The group has recently expanded its export activities to East African countries, with about 70% of its production currently dedicated to exports. Additionally, the company’s expansion into East Africa benefits from the advantages of the COMESA agreement.

El Sabai also highlighted the strong presence of the company’s tomato sauce product in markets such as Libya, Morocco, Kenya, Madagascar, and Somalia, while its flour product is prominent in markets such as Djibouti, Ethiopia, Sudan, Somalia, and Madagascar.

Regarding the Egyptian-Swiss pasta product, it is exported to Kenya, the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, and other markets.

The Egyptian-Swiss Group began its operations in 1995, initially focusing on flour trading before expanding into manufacturing by establishing flour mills in Asyut and Borg El Arab.

The company later expanded into pasta manufacturing in the Tenth of Ramadan City with a production capacity of 7,500 tons per month, followed by the establishment of a tomato sauce factory with a production capacity of 3,500 tons per month.

Furthermore, the company added a large flour mill with two production lines, reaching a daily milling capacity of 1,500 tons, and owns wheat silos with a storage capacity of 50,000 tons.
