Zewail City recognizes Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait-Egypt during the annual graduation ceremony 2023

In line with Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt’s active role in Corporate Social Responsibility and is ongoing initiatives to enhance the education sector in Egypt, Zewail City of Science and Technology recognizes Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait-Egypt (ABK-Egypt) for the support extended to undergraduate students joining from public schools, in the presence of Mrs. Lamise Negm, Advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Bank representatives, alongside senior members of the banking sector and university faculty members.

In celebration of the strategic partnership between Zewail City and ABK-Egypt during the annual Science Festival 2023 held in Zewail City, the Bank proudly celebrated the graduation of four students from the Faculty of Science and Technology, who received a full tuition scholarship from ABK-Egypt and successfully obtained a Bachelor’s degree in science and engineering. This comes as part of the Bank’s continuous efforts to support and empower youth and better prepare them with the education and skillsets they need in today’s fast-changing job market landscape.

The Bank’s investment in education stems from believing in the value of youth and the importance of developing human capital, Egypt’s most important asset. In line with this belief, the Bank signed a Scholarship Fund agreement with Zewail City of Science and Technology in 2019, which runs over five years, sponsoring the tuition fees for exceptional students from public schools who were eager to attain a bachelor’s degree in the fields of Science and Engineering.

it is worth mentioning that Social Responsibility is an integral part of ABK – Egypt’s strategy. The Bank continues its efforts in supporting all sectors such as education, health, reconstruction and providing aid to those in need through an array of social initiatives in partnership with non-profit organizations. Ranging from providing financial donations, outreach to the underprivileged with clothing, shelter, food supplies and medical care, through to exploring opportunities to help children, women, individuals with special needs, and the financially incapable.
