Egypt is participating in the Mobile World Congress (MWC) with a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), headed by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat. MWC is organized in Barcelona, Spain, from February 28 to March 3.
MWC Barcelona is the flagship annual global event for mobile phones and relevant industries. It is organized by the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA) with the participation of about 1,800 exhibitors from 183 countries, decision-makers, experts, officials of international organizations and major mobile phone companies, as well as specialists in relevant technologies and pioneers of the mobile phone industry.
On the sidelines of MWC, the ICT Minister will hold meetings over two days with various ministers, government officials and representatives of international organizations and major ICT companies to discuss cooperation in relevant fields. Talaat is, also, going to witness the signing of several agreements with global ICT companies.
MWC sheds light on important issues, the latest innovations in the mobile phone industry and the fifth generation (5G). The Congress features lectures, workshops, panel discussions by experts and investors, and competitions for startups. New releases of the world’s leading mobile phone companies will be exhibited during MWC as well.
MWC 2022 will discuss how technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud computing, 5G, robotics and big data, are driving the transition into a digital future.
