As part of Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait Egypt’s (ABK-Egypt) leading role in supporting financial inclusion and promoting financial literacy among unbanked segments, and in line with the Egyptian Government direction and the Central Bank of Egypt initiatives, the Bank took part in celebrating International Savings Day that took place during the period from October 15th to 31st 2022, through its active presence for a full week in Al-Nahda University in Beni Suef Governorate.
ABK-Egypt’s representatives were able to successfully engage with students and university staff to raise awareness on the importance of saving for a better future as well as the features and benefits of various banking products and services.
ABK-Egypt offers a range of financial services and innovative products with exclusive benefits during the initiative period that include free of charge account opening, free Debit Card issuance, free Mobile Wallet registration and free accidental insurance policy. These special benefits were designed to appeal to various segments and attract new customers to join the Bank.
These steps taken by ABK-Egypt come in accordance with the Bank’s Financial Inclusion Strategy and in continuation to the efforts done in this regard over the course of the year, where the bank launched a set of new accounts for different customer segments including “Bedaya” accounts for individuals and very small companies with simplified procedures, “Sohoula” account for individuals, and “Future” account for youth between 16 and 21 years requiring only their national ID. All four accounts provide exclusive benefits and are opened with zero account opening fees, no minimum balance fees, free debit card issuance and free access to online and mobile banking services to best appeal to targeted segments and help them meet their financial needs.
