Gama Construction announces the completion of 95% of the civil works of the Spinning Plant in Mahalla ‘s

Gama Construction was honored to welcome H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, during his inspection visit to the construction works of the Spinning Plant (1) owned by The Holding Company for Cotton, Spinning and Weaving in El-Mahalla El-Kubra. Gama completed successfully 95% of the plants’ civil works which is set to be the largest spinning factory in the world and a key pillar of Egypt’s ambitious plan to upgrade the spinning and weaving industry and restore the former glory and international fame of the Egyptian cotton. This plan was launched under the directives of H.E Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt, with the aim of maximizing the utilization of the latent Egyptian capabilities.
Eng. Salah Ghobrial, CEO of Gama Construction stated: “We are proud of executing this vital project. Over the last years, Gama was able to achieve great successes in accomplishing a number of major national projects according to the international standards. Gama is a leading design-build contractor with over 30 years of experience. Our business verticals include infrastructure, buildings and industrial projects which are delivered on an EPC basis. The new plant is built over an area of 62,500 square meters, and is planned to accommodate more than 182,000 spinners contributing to an average production capacity of 30 tons/day of fine and thick yarns, thus consuming about 300 thousand quintals of cotton annually and increasing the local production of fine yarns besides establishing an edge to compete in the regional and international markets”
In addition to the Spinning Plant (1), Gama has renovated the training center, dedicated for training the workers on modern machinery in the Factory. Moreover, Gama has carried out the necessary renovations for El-Mahalla Spinning Stadium in Gharbeya City.
