Dr. Ashraf Kordy, a member of the board of directors of the Giza Chamber of Commerce, met with Dr. Jilan Ahmed, the executive director of the Bahia Foundation for Breast Cancer Treatment, where the meeting reviewed opportunities for cooperation and support for the fighters of the Bahia Foundation, with the provision of all support by the Giza Chamber of Commerce, within the framework of the social responsibility that the chamber attaches great importance to at the present time.
Kordy revealed during his visit to the new premises in Zayed that the “Giza Chamber of Commerce” aims to enhance social responsibility and support charitable institutions and associations in Giza Governorate, and to enhance the role of merchants and private businesses in supporting the developmental work of these institutions, foremost among them the Bahia Foundation for Breast Cancer Treatment, indicating that the meeting discussed supporting quality exhibitions for the fighters of the Bahia Foundation, where products of the “Foundation” are displayed, in line with the charities and institutions present in the governorate.
Kordy affirmed that the Giza Chamber of Commerce aims in the coming period to communicate with all institutions and charitable associations in the governorate, and to enhance the developmental work of the chamber, elevate social responsibility, and raise awareness of the importance of supporting the business community for all activities carried out by charitable institutions within the governorate, highlighting their real role, and providing all support for these institutions and civil associations.
On another note, Kordy revealed in press statements that the Giza Chamber of Commerce organizes exhibitions for “Welcome Ramadan”, with the aim of supporting citizens during the blessed month of Ramadan, noting that these exhibitions are designed to ensure the availability of essential food items at reduced prices, within the framework of our social responsibility towards the people of Giza Governorate.
Kordy added that the chamber divided the exhibitions in Giza Governorate into three sections – north, central, and south, with the aim of reaching the largest possible number of citizens, with discounts ranging between 20% to 30%, thanks to the close cooperation with merchants, suppliers, government, and private companies.
Kordy further added, “The exhibitions not only reflect our role in serving the community but also affirm our commitment to providing all support and assistance to all segments of society, especially in these difficult economic times. In addition, the ‘Welcome Ramadan’ exhibitions are just a part of our efforts as the Giza Chamber of Commerce aiming to achieve this goal,” stressing the commitment of the Giza Chamber of Commerce to continue on this path in cooperation with all partners from the government and the private sector.
