GrowthLabs, a company specializing in building infrastructure to support the region’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, has announced a strategic partnership with Amenli—Egypt’s first licensed digital insurance broker—to launch an insurance service tailored specifically for startups.
This new partnership enables entrepreneurs and their teams to explore and purchase insurance coverage designed for early-stage companies directly through the GrowthLabs platform. This offers a faster, more seamless digital experience compared to traditional processes, which can often take weeks to complete.
This move addresses the need among startups in Egypt and the region for insurance solutions better suited to their business models and growth stages. Traditional insurance procurement often poses challenges for startups, including time constraints, procedural complexities, and a lack of alignment between available coverage options and the specific needs of early-stage companies.
Through this partnership, GrowthLabs and Amenli aim to integrate insurance services into the digital ecosystem used by entrepreneurs, providing easier access to insurance protection for the company, its teams, and individual employees. Under the agreement, Amenli serves as the exclusive insurance partner for the Growth Labs ecosystem, integrating insurance coverage directly into the platform. This enables entrepreneurs to browse and compare available options, select the appropriate coverage, and activate policies—all through a single platform.
**Insurance Solutions Tailored for Startups**
The new service offers a range of benefits, including insurance coverage specifically designed for startups, focusing on the needs of founding teams, employees, and companies in their early growth stages.
It also provides a seamless digital journey—from browsing and comparing insurance options to completing the purchase directly via the Growth Labs platform—eliminating the need for traditional paperwork.
Leveraging Amenli’s digital technology, the service allows for policy issuance within minutes rather than weeks, aligning with the fast-paced nature and urgent needs of startups.
Amenli operates as a digital insurance broker licensed by Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA).
Islam Araban, Head of Growth Labs, stated that entrepreneurs dedicate every hour to building their companies and should not lose days dealing with insurance procedures.
He added: “By integrating Amenli’s coverage into our platform, we relieve founders of a burden and give them greater confidence to grow. This partnership places essential protection within easy reach of the ecosystem we serve.” For his part, Shady Al-Tohfa, CEO of Amenli, said: “From day one, Amenli set out to make insurance simple and accessible to those overlooked by the market—with startups at the very heart of that mission. Our partnership with GrowthLabs allows us to reach entrepreneurs where they are and provide the protection their businesses need, at the speed they require.”
The insurance service tailored for startups is now available to companies on the GrowthLabs platform, allowing entrepreneurs to access it directly through their accounts.
