The Information Technology Institute (ITI) announces accepting applications for the Game Development Academy, in the Game Programming, and Interactive Media and Game Art tracks, delivered within the Nine-Month Scholarship program.
The Interactive Media and Game Art track provides a deep understanding of the game art. Trainees are introduced to environment and character arts and learn how to build a game world using game engines.
The program qualifies young people for the game development industry and work in different fields, including 3D media production, simulation, and serious games.
Graduates of the program develop a strong skill set and are qualified to work as game artists, 3D modelers, 2D and 3D animators, technical artists, visual effects (VFX) artists, character artists, environment artists, among others.
Applicants must have a digital game, a simulation software or a serious game. They will work to develop their product throughout the program.
The nine-month training starts with an essentials course in technical and soft skills. More advanced courses are then delivered where trainees study game design in depth, moving to the practical part where they work on their graduation projects.
It is worth mentioning that some program alumni landed jobs at major video game companies such as Ubisoft, Gameloft, and Rovio Entertainment. Others were able to start their own business and achieved success.
