Tetra Pak Egypt, world’s leading food processing and packaging solutions, celebrated the International Women’s Day 2023. The company continues to support fair opportunities to everybody in its direct operations and across its value chain.
On this occasion Alia Omar, Marketing Director of Tetra Pak Egypt Area said, “Tetra Pak aims to empower women who provide innovative ideas and approaches, offering them the opportunity to progress and advance. The company takes pride to have several women contributing to the top management, both locally and globally.”
Tetra Pak recently published “Voices of Innovation”, a report dedicated to highlight the achievements of women working in Tetra Pak in various regions all over the world, including Egypt with Mona Hassan, Field Service Engineer in Tetra Pak Egypt, who specializes in preparing customer sites for equipment installation.
As a matter of fact, women represent 23% of the total number of employees in Tetra Pak. Moreover, 18% of women work in senior management, 26% in Management, 29% in white collar population, and 7% in factories. In Tetra Pak Egypt Area, the number of women in the senior management reached 28% of the total number of employees of the company in Egypt Area.
Tetra Pak aims for a diverse workforce, where everyone feels included at work, where every employee is respected, included, engaged, offered fair opportunities, and treated equally irrespective of their backgrounds or any other factors. These values resulted in an environment that encourages the growth of all women to enable them to positively contribute to the advancement of their communities and empower the economy where they belong.
