Ezz Elarab Automotive Group, the sole importer and exclusive distributor of Volvo cars in Egypt, recently participated in the National Day of Sweden celebrations in collaboration with the Swedish Embassy in Egypt and under the slogan ‘Swedish Business – Pioneering the Possible’. The celebration was attended by Eng. Muhammad Aboul Nour – General Manager of Volvo Cars Egypt, Mrs. Rana Abbadi- Vice President of Ezz Elarab Automotive Group, Mr. Moris Bayar – Commercial Operations Director | EMEA Importers, and Mr. Radomir Nemecek – Regional Business Manager | EMEA Importers and Volvo Cars Egypt’s team, along with a number of Egyptian officials, members of the diplomatic community, politicians and pioneers of the civil community. Volvo Egypt had a prominent pavilion at the exhibition where the celebration took place.
In his welcome speech, the Swedish Ambassador to Egypt, Håkan Emsgård, said: “I am proud that a number of the largest and most successful Swedish multinational companies are now operating in Egypt. This has helped create thousands of job opportunities in the local market and has helped promote Swedish values such as sustainability and innovation.”
On the sidelines of the prestigious National Day of Sweden event, which was attended by Dr. Mohamed Maait – the Egyptian Minister of Finance, Eng. Muhammad Aboul Nour – General Manager of Volvo Cars Egypt, discussed the current situation of the automotive sector in Egypt. Furthermore, Eng. Aboul Nour also revealed some of Volvo’s future plans on both the local and international level.
On a related note, Eng. Muhammad Aboul Nour, said: “We are proud to be part of the success of the luxurious Swedish brand; Volvo, in Egypt. We have set a blueprint for the expansion of Volvo throughout the country and we always strive to spread Swedish values through the use of sustainability and innovation inside Volvo cars showrooms.”
Volvo Egypt was prominently represented at the exhibition during the Swedish Embassy’s celebration of the National Day of Sweden. This ceremony brought together a number of leading Swedish businesses to showcase their latest innovations, products and services. The company also demonstrated how it applies sustainability in its business practices and how it can serve as an example of how to lead the economy toward green recovery. Volvo displayed the Swedish luxury brands latest car model in Egypt, the facelifted Mild Hybrid Volvo XC60, model year 2022.
It is worth mentioning that Ezz Elarab Automotive Group has been a part of the virtual celebration of National Day of Sweden last year, with a video about Volvo’s achievements as a Swedish brand in the field of sustainability. This virtual event was an alternative to attending the celebration due to the precautionary measures taken to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
