Careem Egypt and Cassbana partner to provide Careem Captains with fuel payment financing
Careem Egypt, the region’s leading multi-service platform, and Cassbana Egypt, a specialized local fintech, sign an agreement to enable Careem Captains to manage payment of fuel for their vehicles through Cassbana’s ‘buy now pay later’ service.
Careem Captains can download the Cassbana app on their smartphones and register for the service by completing the KYC (“Know Your Customer”) process. Captains can then finance their fuel payments when filling up at filling stations that are registered in the Cassbana network.

We are so pleased to partner with Cassbana, a company expanding access to financial services, to make it easier for Captains to manage their fuel payments.”

Accordingly, we are delighted to work with Careem Egypt. This partnership gives Careem’s network of Captains access to our products and services, including facilitated payments. It will allow us to expand in offering advanced technological fintech solutions to customers who own micro and small enterprises.”
Mohamed Shebl, Chief Operations Officer for Careem Egypt, said: “Our partnership with Cassbana will help Captains to mitigate the impact of rising fuel costs by giving them more tools to manage their fuel purchases. At the start of the year we announced several initiatives to support our Captains and we’re pleased to be able to deliver on our promise. We’re looking forward to expanding our rewards program in the coming months as we expand the range of benefits on offer to Careem Captains.”
The partnership with Cassbana is the latest in a selection of initiatives that Careem Egypt has announced since the start of the year for its Captains.
Most recently, Careem Egypt partnered with Amenly.com, which offers health and vehicle insurance services for Careem’s Captains in Egypt. Careem Egypt also partnered with Khazana Tech to offer additional financial services to the Captains.
